Death is Real

Death is real yet I act like I do not believe it

I waste time and find distractions to take me away from life

Death is real in the sense of living without living

That death is realer to me than actual death

It chases me when I do not live up to my fullest potential

It waits for me to make decisions based on my fear

And that choice takes me closer to death

Death is real when I realize I do not have much time left

Life becomes worth living when I make decisions based on loving it

Death has made me appreciate those that are gone

Death has made me appreciate those moments that I will never relive

Death keeps life from being a lie in the longest of terms
