Adonde Yo Soy

A Poem

From here to there, everywhere and no where. I am familiar as familia. A friend, an enemy, and a stranger. Introverted amongst the extroverts and extroverted within the introverts. I lean left with the right and angle right with the left. A citizen, a resident, an immigrant, an exile of a lost tribe. The lone wolf in a pride. I remain in purgatory. Deported from hell with no visa to heaven. The more I speak the less you know. It’s in the silence where I let you know. Where I’m from? Where I am at? That empty feeling in your chest is where I from. The light that shines on the moon is where I am at. It’s where dawn meets dusk and the eclipse is every high noon. Where things come together and fall apart, but only to return with a part of someone else that has become myself. Every birthday is a rebirth and every new year a funeral. I am, always was, yet never existed.
