Urban Landscapes and Environmental Portraiture

Steven West got the crew together again for some landscape photography in beautiful Futakotamagawa. Futakotamagawa is dear to me because it was the place the airport bus first dropped me off when I came to Japan back in 2012.

The parks and foot path along the stream are wonderful for families, lovers, and athletic activities. Steve broke down how a tilt shift lens works, unfortunately I missed this part for a morning yoga class, and he gave us various urban landscape and environmental portraiture challenges. The crew had a nice long walk taking on Steve’s landscape challenge and also shooting other subjects when they presented themselves.

Below are photos from the session that were taken with various kinds of lenses using DSLRs, mirrorless, and iPhone cameras.
