Spiritualize your warfare. Every day you face battles—that is the reality for all creatures in their struggle to survive. But the greatest battle of all is with yourself—your weaknesses, your emotions, your lack of resolution in seeing things through to the end. You must declare unceasing war on yourself. As a warrior in life, you welcome combat and conflict as ways to prove yourself, to better your skills, to gain courage, confidence, and experience. Instead of repressing your doubts and fears, you must face them down, do battle with them. You want more challenges, and you invite more war. You are forging the warrior’s spirit, and only constant practice will lead you there.

One year ago I did these exercises. Seth told me to post my answer's. Took 12 months to revisit these exercises and reflect on year one as a full time freelancer.

You are much more than a problem to be solved. You are a design to be discovered. 

As exhausted as we were, the campfire scene was an opportunity to cook up a meal. The strong winds made it difficult to get the fire started. But once the wood burned, Steven mustered up the strength to snap the final scenes of the day. He submitted those final images to a calendar competition.

Steven West got the crew together again for some landscape photography in beautiful Futakotamagawa.

The board was huge and heavy, the rain began to pour, and I was freezing. I began to shadow box in between each setup, so I can stay warm.

Steve West loves photography. He also loves an adventure. So no one else could have been more excited to call me up for an invitation to model as a surfer in the middle of winter. Since adventure and photography are right up my ally, there was no hesitation in my response.

Meetup is a social network that brings people with common interest together. Steve West got myself and others to meet up for our first Tokyo Creative Photography Workshop in Yoyogi Park.
